Bulgaria’s PM Boyko Borissov has sent a letter to the European Commission requesting excise duty on fuels to be lowered. “I have ordered Finance Minister Dyankov to request a written answer,” Bulgaria’s PM announced yesterday. PM Borissov explained that the cabinet had already received an oral answer saying that the decision for lowering the excise on fuels could be taken if only all 26 EU member-states agree on the issue. A working group with the participation of the ministers of finance, economy and transport will meet on Wednesday. The group has been formed under the instruction of PM Boyko Borissov and would be seeking decision of fuel prices hike.
